With September being Suicide Awareness month, we will host a special Business Over Breakfast titled "From Struggle to Strength." Marcus Ruzek, Senior Program Director for The Marcus Foundation, will lead the talk. This is a Business Over Breakfast you don't want to miss!

Marcus Ruzek is the Senior Program Director at The Marcus Foundation. Marcus is a combat veteran having served as an Army Special Forces Officer (Green Beret), commanding a Special Forces “A-Team” in his final assignment. Marcus served in the Army for 13 years. Marcus Ruzek has worked at The Marcus Foundation for over 10 years supporting its Free Enterprise initiatives, including Military/Veterans support, National Security/Foreign Policy, and Free Market Ideals. The Marcus Foundation is a leader in philanthropy, specifically in the area of military and veterans support.

While assigned as an Infantry Officer in 2009, CPT Ruzek deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He later graduated from the rigorous two-year training pipeline at Ft Bragg, NC to serve in the 1st Special Forces Regiment (known as the Army “Green Berets”). CPT Ruzek deployed to northern Iraq in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE in 2015. CPT Ruzek commanded a Special Forces “A Team” which partnered with Kurdish Peshmerga in the fight against Islamic State terrorists (aka: ISIS).

Among Captain Marcus Ruzek’s awards and decorations are three Bronze Star Medals, one for Valorous actions on the battlefield, and two for meritorious service in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Marcus is currently an MBA candidate at The Wharton School, class of 2025. Marcus resides in Monroe, GA with his wife Morgan and three children: Marcus Jr, Boone, and Audrey.

Business Over Breakfast provides a place for ABC members on the business side of construction to come together on a regular basis to discuss ideas of common interest. 

Breakfast will be provided at the meeting!
