First Aid/CPR/AED/BBP Training

Description

Students who participate in this course will be actively engaged in a learning environment that teaches them how to assess and respond to first aid and emergencies. Students will learn basic first aid, choking, CPR, and AED methods and practice those skills in practical exams. The course will also discuss bloodborne pathogens, how to prevent disease transmission, and appropriate clean-up methods following a first aid incident. This course is designed for all employees, whether in the field or the office. In some cases, first aid and CPR training may be required by OSHA for employees who work in remote locations. 

This course covers 4 hours of the following topics:

•Recognize a medical emergency 

•Handle breathing and cardiac emergencies

•Act appropriately and effectively and sustain life until professional help arrives

•Prevent disease transmission 

•Identify and care for bleeding, sudden illness, and injuries

•Proper use of an AED 

•Bloodborne Pathogen prevention and clean-up
