The Qualified Rigger and Signal Person course is designed to meet the training requirements of OSHA 29 CFR Subpart CC applicable to certified rigger and signal persons. This course is recommended for anyone with responsibilities that put them in the fall zone of lifting operations on a construction site. This course would be beneficial for anyone supervising or working on construction sites that include crane operations. The course will focus on the safety of persons working around crane operations with responsibility for rigging and signaling. The course will cover multiple aspects of selection, use and inspection of construction site rigging and hands-on application of rigging components and signaling techniques.
This course includes the content outlined below. All participants who complete the course including classroom participation, hands-on activities, written exam, and practical exam will receive a certificate/card of completion. A 150-page workbook including course content and examination material will be provided.

•Identifying caught in between and struck by hazards
•Understanding ground condition requirements for cranes
•Understanding of Overhead power line hazards
•Understanding OSHA requirements of Signal Persons
•Understanding OSHA requirements of Certified Riggers
•Identifying hazards when hoisting – keeping clear of suspended loads
•Understanding proper tag-out procedures for cranes
•Understanding the requirements of rigging used on construction sites including selection, use, and inspection
