During this presentation, we will discuss what rights you have as an employer if an ICE officer seeks access to your workplace or if the company is the subject of a worksite raid. We will address how best to prepare for a work site raid or visit from an ICE officer, including the differences between administrative and search warrants. We will also discuss what rights your employees have when questioned by an ICE officer. Lastly, we will discuss what happens when ICE conducts an inspection at your company and audits your Form I-9s. We will address how to best prepare for a Form I-9 audit and the most common Form I-9 mistakes and how to correct them.

Learning Objectives #1: Attendees will learn their rights should an ICE Investigator arrive at the company's office or construction site with either a search warrant, administrative warrant, or both.

Instructor
This class will be taught by Philip J. Siegel, Esq., who is a Partner and shareholder with Hendrick Phillips Salzman & Sigeal and is legal counsel for ABC of Georgia. Philip attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating with distinction from the School of Business Administration where he earned his B.B.A. Mr. Siegel received his law degree from Emory University School of Law. After working in the public accounting industry as a state and local tax consultant for two years, he commenced his career as a construction litigation and labor/employment attorney.
