September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and we are proud to dedicate our September Business Over Breakfast to this important topic.
Joining us will be Dr. Brian Moore, health psychologist and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Military and Emergency Services (AMES) Research at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Moore’s work has enabled him to lead local and state-level efforts to reduce suicidality and promote behavioral wellness on a national level. He serves as a subject matter expert in behavioral health for the Department of Homeland Security, as a member of the Governor’s Veteran Health/Suicide Prevention Task Force, Crisis Intervention Training Advisory Board, and Georgia Veterans Network Leadership Council.

Speaker Bio
Dr. Brian A. Moore is a health psychologist and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Military and Emergency Services (AMES) Research at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Moore served 15 years in the Army as an Infantry officer. Before joining Kennesaw State University, he completed his Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has completed pre- and postdoctoral fellowships in health and trauma psychology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Moore has over 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications and presentations at national and international conferences on topics relevant to community and operational health. Additionally, he has overseen or collaborated on over $25 million in federal grants. He has been featured on NPR, Healthline, U.S. News & World Report, Military Times, and United Press International.
Business Over Breakfast provides ABC of Georgia members on the business side of construction the opportunity to come together monthly to discuss ideas of common interest.
