2025 Safety (Construction Academy)

Description

Does your safety program need a boost? Are you still sitting around wondering how to get your injury rates, EMR’s and other incidents down? Are you tired of doing the same training over and over again with no results? The goal of this session is to introduce you to the basic leadership principles you already know, and implement them to strengthen your safety culture. Through basic behavioral safety understanding and methodology, you will learn what it takes to put a spin on the development of your safety program. 

This class is only available IN PERSON!

Following this class participants will be able to:

• Learn how to effectively and meaningfully correct unsafe actions
• Learn how to gain the trust of your field teams 

What you can expect to learn as a:

• General Contractor: How to go from “let’s be compliant,” to “let’s be effective.”
• Specialty Contractor: How do I get my people to do the right thing when I can’t always be there to tell them? 
• Supplier: What is my role in building a safety culture on site?
• Industry Professional: I know a lot about safety, but how do I get our people to turn the corner? 
• Owner/Developer: What should I expect out of my contractors? Don’t I buy safety already? How can I make a difference while also protecting my company’s name and reputation?
• Architect/Engineer: How do I design for building safely? What is my involvement in “safety by design?”

This class provides a broad overview of the topic and is best suited for new hires and those new to the industry to help bridge the gap between theory and job site reality.
