Traumatic brain injury and the effect of rotational motion walks the listeners through a brief history of head protection, the current OSHA/ANSI standard, statistics on TBI injuries within the US construction market, understanding traumatic brain injury from 10,000 feet, how rotational motion plays an important role in TBIs, and finally, how rotational motion mitigation can make all the difference in limiting and lessening workplace TBIs.
Speaker:
Luke Sylvia is a regional sales manager (Southeast U.S.) for Mips. Luke graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Bio with a minor in chemistry. He has a background in industrial sales and account management through distribution, and he has overseen major accounts in the aggregate sector.
ABC’s Safety Forum meets monthly for a presentation and open discussion on current safety issues and best practices. This group is made up of business owners, safety professionals, and industry professionals.
